Ammerland Black Rye

I’m late to the Beck’s bread party because I’d given up bread. I couldn’t find enough nutritious value in it. But this Rye bread and everything I’ve tried, made by Becks is so satisfying, so nutrient dense that it feeds my ancient soul. This is how bread is supposed to be. (And this is why I can’t partake of commercial bread.) I knew something was missing. And it was actually almost everything that was missing. The vision, the relationships to the earth and the soil, the farmers, the care the goes into collecting, grinding and baking…… and finally the taste. It’s absolutely everything my heart and soul wanted in a bread.

So delicious, rich flavours

I love this bread! It has become one of my favorites. Not your typical rye. The texture, density, and flavor is everything I enjoy in a great bread. I highly recommend this bread. AND on top of everything else I can eat this bread without upsetting my stomach like most gluten bread does. I am gluten-sensitive (not celiac).

Toasted with some cheese to accompany my soup lunch. Wonderful.
